Know Your Numbers
Each semester, employees will have the opportunity to engage in a health campaign to help them stay motivated with their overall wellness. Many programs include a team component that adds to the camaraderie of the experience. Program details and registration information is released prior to the start of the fall and spring semesters. Cost of the program varies based on delivery method.
Employee Wellness has partnered with the Department of Behavioral Health and Nutrition to deliver a Healthy Cooking series in the University’s Food Lab, 204 Willard Hall.
The series consists of 4 classes in which you will work in a small team of up to 3 people to prepare your own meal in UD’s food lab. You will perfect your knife skills, learn about different cooking techniques, and learn new, healthy recipes.
The series is offered periodically throughout the year. Single classes cost 10 Wellness Dollars, or you may purchase the entire session (all 4 classes) for 30 Wellness Dollars.
A variety of health screenings are offered at different times throughout the year, allowing employees to be proactive when it comes to prevention and early detection with their own healthcare. Screenings traditionally offered include blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, hearing, posture and osteoporosis.
Employees may register for the screenings at any time throughout the year as they are conducted in our offices, located in the Carpenter Sports Building and on the STAR campus.

Chair massage sessions of 10-15 minutes can counteract the negative impacts of prolonged sitting. You’ll return to your work relaxed, refreshed and ready to go. Benefits of massage include improved posture and circulation, pain management, relaxed muscles, improved flexibility and range of motion, and relief of tension-related headaches. If you would like a licensed massage therapist to provide this service for your department, office or group, you will be responsible for making specific arrangements directly with the therapists listed below. This includes providing a location for the therapist to work and payment. Wellness Dollars may not be used to pay for chair massages. Payment will be made directly to the therapist from the individuals or groups that request their services.
