Clella Murray

 

ClellaMurrayWe are proud to announce that our University of Delaware Women’s Club 2005 Woman of the Year is Clella Murray. Having been a part of the University family for over 40 years, Clella has welcomed countless new faculty and their families while her husband served as a member of the physics faculty and as University Provost.  At Delaware she worked as a College of Education researcher in computers.

Clella is an acclaimed writer, having published several articles and five novels.  Clella is also an active member of numerous organizations including the  University of Delaware Women’s Club,  Delaware Art Museum Council, Friends of the Newark Free Library and Newark Symphony Orchestra. Her involvement with the Head of Christiana Presbyterian Church, leading children and youth programs as well as Girl Scout troops, has earned her the highest respect and admiration from those whose lives she has touched.
