Alpha Zeta is hosting a 5k this Sunday, May 8, beginning at 9am.
We Run So They Can Soar 5K is raising money to support Sunrise Day Camp-Long Island. Sunrise Day Camp–Long Island is the world’s first full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, provided completely free of charge. With 106 campers enrolled in 2006, Sunrise Day Camp-Long Island just completed its 10th summer with more than 500 campers enjoying the expansive campgrounds. The fun, friendship and smiles continue year round through various camp-like programs and in-hospital services. All donations go directly to Sunrise to help send these children to this camp, that runs entirely on donations.We want to make sure that we can donate as much money as possible to this amazing cause. Please come out and run or walk and help us send a child to camp.
This race will not be officially timed, however there will be a clock for you to personally record your time.
Registration will be $15 on the website or day of. There is also a raffle for 2 Firefly tickets, 1 raffle ticket for $3 and 5 for $25.
