TrueCrypt, the encryption software UD IT and many other colleges and companies have recommended, has been compromised. According to published reports, it is unclear whether TrueCrypt was hacked, hijacked, defaced, or….? At any rate, SourceForge has posted this notice: WARNING: Using TrueCrypt is not secure
Do not download or use TrueCrypt until the situation has been resolved. UD IT is researching the situation and will provide more information as it becomes available.
