Student Wellness and Health Promotion (SWHP) cultivates a healthy, safe community that inspires students to succeed; engages all members of the UD community in health promotion and prevention strategies that empower students; and works closely with Opt4, POW, SOS, MASCC, and Collegiate Recovery Community student groups.
Our Center for Counseling and Student Development is the primary mental health facility on campus, providing confidential individual and group counseling as well as psychiatric services to all students. CCSD psychologists are available Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to ensure that a Blue Hen in need is never alone. Take advantage of stress management groups such as Being Mindful and You’ve Got This through CCSD. Counselors are on call 24/7/365 at the UD Helpline, 302-831-1001, if you ever find yourself overwhelmed and in need of someone to talk to.
Student Health Services (SHS) provides students with a full range of primary health care, medical treatment and referral services; offers health education programming through Healthy HENS; and supports the physical and emotional wellbeing of all students.
