Our first fundraiser of the school year is this Thursday, September 12! It’s at California Tortilla on Main Street in Newark! Come in anywhere between 4-10pm and 15% of your bill goes towards our organization! All you have to do is say “STEER” at the register. Hope to see you there! Come visit our table at Fall Student Activities Night! It will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2013, 6pm – 8:30pm, on UD’s Central Green. Members of the Executive Board will be there to answer any questions you may have about our club. Our first general interest meeting will be held on Wednesday May 1st at 5pm in Gore Hall Room 217! At the meeting, we will be articulating the mission of STEER, introducing the Executive Board, going over what has been accomplished this semester, and go over ideas for the fall semester. STEER will be partnering with the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship during their Justice Week, from Monday April 15th – Friday April 19th, to spread awareness about the approximately 27 million enslaved all over the world, and human trafficking.  On Wednesday, April 17th at 7 PM in Smith Hall Room 130, Kara Beardsell will be speaking about how she has created her own Human Rights foundation to fight against human trafficking!  She will be speaking about how we can help her, and STEER will be one of the registered student organizations that provides deserts for the after reception!  For more questions about Justice Week, please contact the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Missions Coordinator, Joanne Lim, at jhlim@udel.edu
