Volunteering

Becoming a volunteer at the Delaware Physical Therapy Clinic is a great way to gain exposure to the physical therapy profession. Volunteers are extremely helpful to the staff in assisting with the flow of patient care. You may also use these hours to submit for application to physical therapy schools.

Please be advised: Our clinic opens and closes based on the University of Delaware schedule. This includes weather delays or closings as well as holidays. For information on weather related schedule changes, please visit the University of Delaware homepage. http://www.udel.edu/. Please be aware the University of Delaware Physical Therapy Clinic would appreciate everyone to evaluate their safety before attempting to travel in weather.

The University of Delaware Physical Therapy clinic is committed to the protection of minors (under 18 years of age) who are interested in observation of physical therapy as a career choice.  We allow high school and college students to observe physical therapy to explore it as a future career choice and also allow high school students to regularly volunteer as an aide as long as they can commit to a full semester schedule.   Minors will be supervised by trained individuals during their time in the clinic, must provide emergency contact information and will be required to check in and out during their visit.
