A letter from the Search Committee Co-Chairs

Greetings,
It is our honor to co-chair the University of Delaware’s Presidential Search Committee, which is charged with identifying for the Board of Trustees the individual who will serve as the next President of the University.
Our committee includes representatives from key University constituencies, including the Board, faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni. Assisting us is the globally recognized search firm Russell Reynolds Associates.
We are committed to having an open and inclusive search process. To gather input from across the campus community and from other key stakeholders, we have held 19 meetings and focus groups, including open forums with faculty, undergraduate students, graduate students, and professional and support staff. You may view a summary of the findings from the focus groups.
This website, which provides information and news about the search process, also serves as a place for you to share your thoughts on the qualities we should be looking for in our candidates and for you to nominate individuals you would like the Committee to consider.
The Position Profile includes a list of goals for the new President articulated by the Presidential Search Committee, as well as experience, professional qualifications and personal attributes that a successful candidate must have exhibited. The Position Profile is based, in large part, on the comments provided to the Committee at the focus group and open forum meetings.
