The 2017 UD Nursing Alumni Stars

In 2015, the University of Delaware’s School of Nursing created the 50 Stars program in an effort to reconnect with our most outstanding nursing alumni of the past 50 years.  Our history of academic rigor, high quality clinical experiences, and blue hen pride have been pillars of our success.  This success is best measured by the impact our alumni have had on the health of our neighbors, local communities, country, and global communities.  Our alumni are pushing beyond bedside nursing as clinical leaders, researchers, educators, mentors, policy makers, innovators, and holistic health advocates for those most in need.  Each year moving forward, the Nursing Alumni Network in conjunction with the School of Nursing will announce 10 Alumni Stars and 1 Rising Star to continue the momentum!  Every 5 years the 50 Stars event will repeat to ensure we remain connected with all the Alumni Stars of previous years.
