History

In 2015, the University of Delaware’s School of Nursing created the 50 Stars program in an effort to reconnect with our most outstanding nursing alumni of the past 50 years.  Our history of academic rigor, high quality clinical experiences, and blue hen pride have been pillars of our success.  This success is best measured by the impact our alumni have had on the health of our neighbors, local communities, country, and global communities.  Our alumni are pushing beyond bedside nursing as clinical leaders, researchers, educators, mentors, policy makers, innovators, and holistic health advocates for those most in need.  All who have been nominated are announced below.
