Elizabeth AdamsElizabeth Adams is an Associate Scientist based at Delaware Biotechnology Institute (DBI), University of Delaware. She received her PhD in Biological sciences from the University of East Anglia, UK. Her research interests relate to the development of technologies that can be applied to characterize the complex nature of surface properties. Techniques include Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Laser Scanning Confocal Microscopy (LSCM),Flow Cytometry and laser capture microdissection (LCM) that can be used to characterize surface properties of samples ranging from individual molecules to whole cells. She interacts with the Preservation Studies Doctoral Program to help students understand the physical changes that take place on the surfaces of art work over time and under different environmental conditions.
