Melissa Gartland
President
Melissa Gartland has a background in Biological Anthropology and is currently working to earn her M.S. in ISTM degree. Previously, Melissa had completed her bachelor’s degree from Temple University in 2013, and have since then worked her way up to management in the restaurant industry. As the President, Melissa plans to add mixers to extend the reach of the ISTM programs and establish connections in programs outside the business school, such as the CPEG department.
Anyelo Almonte
Vice President
Anyelo Almonte was involved in many clubs and associations during his undergraduate. Anyelo was chapter president of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity Inc as well as A.L.A.S (Association of Latino American Students). In those organizations, Anyelo gained his experience in planning and leading programs and workshops. His goal as part of ISTM GSA is to create a mentoring program with people from the industry and partner them up with current ISTM student.
Anwaar Saadaat
Treasurer
Anwaar has a background in IT engineering from Anna University and has a work experience of nearly six years prior to his current MS in ISTM at University of Delaware. He has worked as a Programmer at Cognizant Technology solutions for over four years and as a System Analyst at AstraZeneca for nearly two years, building him a strong background in technology.
Surabhi Bhate
Secretary
Surabhi Bhate is an MBA graduate from the Indian Institute of Management with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering and is also currently pursuing an M.S. in ISTM. In addition to her work experience at Vodafone for nearly 3 years, Surabhi had extensive experience in leading committees and clubs. Having served as a committee member for various student organisations during her undergraduate and graduate studies, she brings in her experience and ideas to the ISTM GSA.
