Mind mapping tools can help you crate a diagram of visual outline information (also known as concept maps). You can use them to brainstorm your ideas by organizing your thoughts and ideas while creating a map of the topics main ideas. There are a number of mind mapping software packages for your desktop computers, some of them are also making apps for tables as well. If you are already using a mind mapping on your desktop, you may want to see if they offer an app for your tablet.
Most of these apps are not free and in some cases might even be considered expensive by app price standards. Some of these apps offer free versions with limited features that allow you to test the product, that you can later upgrade for the full version. Some have in app purchases for more features and functionality.

Idea Sketch is a very basic mind mapping tool. It lets you easily draw a diagram – mind map, concept map, or flow chart – and convert it to a text outline, and vice versa. You can use Idea Sketch for anything, such as brainstorming new ideas, illustrating concepts, making lists and outlines, planning presentations, creating organizational charts, and more! Diagrams and outlines can be easily shared via email.
The iOS version also supports, box.com Dropbox, copy-and-paste, saving to the Photos app (to sync to your desktop) and uploading to Facebook.
It is a fully functioning app as is but there is an in app upgrade to Plus version for 4.00, which gives you more features..

EDNA is an easy to use, simple dual-function writing assistant, which create mind maps. Like a traditional mind map EDNA helps you organize your thoughts by entering your main idea in a thought bubble and then add supportive topics and details. bubble based mind maps. This is the free version of this app. it offers lots of options, and even more if you buy the in app upgrade for $5.00.

iThoughts is a very full featured, business orientated mapping app. Has lots of preinstalled icons, and branching options, as well as the ability to bring in your own images and hyperlinking. That will save your maps to other desktop mind mapping software, as well as save to pdf, png, dropbox, and may other cloud services and as e-mail with your outline included. All these features do come at a cost, the app is 10.00. There is also an in-app purchase for 4.00.
