St. George’s University Partnership

St. George's UniversityThe University of Delaware and St. George’s University (SGU) have an agreement that enables qualified UD undergraduates to pursue medical and veterinary degrees at SGU in Grenada. Accepted students will complete the first two years of medical school in Granada and the remaining two years of clinical education at affiliated hospitals in the United States and/or the United Kingdom. Veterinary students will complete three years in Granada and the final clinical year at affiliated veterinary schools in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, or Ireland.

Students must maintain a gpa of 3.4 or greater. For acceptance into St. George’s Medical School, students must obtain a competitive score on the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), meaning a score within 3 points of the prior term average score at SGU. Veterinary students must obtain a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score within 15 points of the prior term average score at SGU. Students apply to the University of Delaware, and qualified students will be interviewed. Contact a health profession advisor for more information.
