University of Delaware Student Tax Resources – February 2013
This document was prepared by the GSG Student Life Committee. The GSG and the University do not promote any specific tax service, this document is simply to aid students with potential tax resource options.
Free tax preparation services (not affiliated with UD)
Nehemiah Gateway EITC campaign
Nehemiah Gateway is a non-profit that offers free tax preparation services in the Newark library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 4:00pm. There is a maximum income limit of $30,000 to qualify. Unfortunately, international tax returns cannot be prepared by this service. See their website for information on what to bring and their other locations.
This is a partnership between several companies and charities to provide an online tax preparation service that will file both federal and Delaware taxes. There is a maximum income limit of $57,000 to qualify.

The University of Delaware has a license with a web-based tax resource called Windstar Foreign National Tax Resource. Viewing this page requires a UD login.

IRS resources
The IRS website offers resources and information for the 2013 tax year.
This is a partnership between the IRS and private tax preparation companies. The program uses web-based tax applications through a number of different companies. It is free to file your federal taxes with this program for those that meet the requirements.
