A minimum of 30 credits is required for the MS Finance degree.  Course descriptions and University requirements for graduate students can be found in the University of Delaware Catalog.  A more complete description of all of the requirements for the MS in Finance are contained in the MS in Finance Program Policy Statement.

Students are expected to have had the equivalent to MATH 221 Calculus and MATH 230 Finite Mathematics with Applications.  Also, students will need basic computer skills equivalent to MISY 160 Business Computing : Tools and Concepts.

Prerequisites: Incoming students are expected to understand fundamental finance and accounting concepts. Prerequisite courses can be waived for students who have work experience or prior coursework in the area.

Students may choose courses from the following list but are not limited to courses on the list.   Other courses may be used towards the degree requirements if submitted as part of the student’s program of study and approved by the MS Finance Program Director prior to registration in the course. The MS Finance Program Director will decide on whether a particular variation from the stated degree requirements is allowed.
