These needing detailed trade data using 10-digit International Harmonized System Commodity Classification (HS-based schedule B) by Country by Customs District may find these titles, received by the Morris Library on deposit through the Federal Depository Library Program helpful.  Data on the discs is more detailed than what is available online.  Two sets of monthly date are available in the Student Multimedia Design Center on the Library’s lower level:

  • U.S. Exports of Merchandise (1990-2002 CD-ROM 34; 2002-current DVD-ROM 34)

  • U.S. Imports of Merchandise (1990-2002 CD-ROM 35; 2002-current DVD-ROM 35)

Discs may be used at the Digital Mapping Station or may be borrowed for one week in accordance with Library policies.

In addition to the 10-digit data on discs,  USA Trade Online, the official source of current and cumulative U.S. export and import statistics, is available in the Morris Library, Reference Room only (Workstations #36 and #37).  It provides trade statistics using the Harmonized System (HS) up to the 10-digit level and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) commodity classification codes up to the 6-digit level for more than 18,000 export commodities and 24,000 import commodities worldwide, using the Harmonized System (HS) and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes.
