  1. PURPOSETo ensure all activities related to sources of ionizing radiation are conducted in compliance with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations and license conditions, Delaware Radiation Control Regulations, and University Regulations.
  2. POLICYNo person shall purchase, receive, possess, use, transfer, or dispose of any source of ionizing radiation (radioactive material or equipment capable of producing ionizing radiation as defined by regulation) except with the approval of and in accordance with procedures established by the Radiation Safety Committee and the Department of Environmental Health and Safety.
