How do I stop the spam!
Turn on the plugin: Akismet . For directions, please review this helpful video. You will have to register to obtain an api key. It is free (simply move the slider to the amount you would like to contribute). All this is explained in the video.
If you continue to experience problems
. . . enable the settings to disable comments on a post after a set number of days.
This helps reduce spam sent to old postings which is the bulk of the spam submissions in most cases.
. . . and turn on the comments moderation feature to prevent spam from automatically ending up on the site.
