About

This blog is a communication vehicle surrounding the technical aspects of e-portfolios at UD.  Its ideal purpose is to host a  place where anyone in the University community (faculty, students or staff) can go to get guidance and help with e-portfolios on campus.  Basically if you don’t see it here, ask it! You can use the Have a Question tab at the top to send us your question.

Currently, there are pilot e-portfolio projects underway within many departments on campus. Students are being asked to share evidence of their learning through artifacts they have created in their courses, and reflect on how they have impacted their growth throughout their program of study. These e-portfolios are referred to as a Teaching, Learning and Assessment (TLA) e-portfolio.

In some programs/courses, students have been asked to create what is often called a presentation e-portfolio. This is probably the most common use of an e-portfolio, because this is where someone might showcase their work. Usually presentation portfolios are used for seeking employment or applying to graduate school. Sometimes they are created to fulfill a course or program requirement. Several professional programs require that you keep a portfolio.
