Host Families – Information for ELI Students
Our American Host Program is a great way for students who do not live in homestays to enjoy the benefits of knowing an American family. Students do not live with host families (see the homestay program).
The American Host Program connects ELI students with Americans who are interested in meeting and helping foreign students. Host families invite students into their home to share a meal, take you to local events or on day trips in the area and generally try to make you feel at home during your stay in Newark. They enjoy meeting students for a wide variety of activities, such as sporting events, community activities, and holiday celebrations.
