Leslie Criston

Leslie Criston, Assistant Professor

Ms. Criston joined the English Language Institute in 1993, having previously taught ESL at Vanderbilt University, Saint Joseph’s University, Harvard’s Summer English Institute and CCII, a small English language institute in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Ms. Criston earned both her B.A. in Anthropology and her M.A. in TESL from the University of Arizona — Tucson. Her areas of concentration are in teaching English through content-based courses such as English through Business Case Studies and English through Novels and their Film Versions, a course which she developed and most enjoys teaching. In addition to teaching in the ELI, Ms. Criston also trains UD international teaching assistants (ITA) how to effectively teach in the US university setting.
