Brazil Scientific Mobility Program

The ELI Welcomes Brazilian Scholarship Students to the Intensive English Program

This fall, the ELI welcomed 10 students to our Intensive English Program via the Brazil Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP), a scholarship that is funded by the Brazilian government and is administered by the Institute for International Education.

The BSMP scholarship allows students to study English for up to one year in full-time ESL courses or via Bridge programming.

The students pictured above are the first group to study at the ELI in BSMP’s “Long-Term English” program. This program allows students to study Intensive English for up to one year through a combination of full-time study or Bridge programming.

Upon completion of their ESL programs, these students will participate in one to two semesters of full-time academic study in undergraduate STEM fields, such as Biological Sciences, Engineering, and Mathematics.

This semester’s BSMP students at the ELI are: Matheus Amaral Vieceli, Andre Borges, Camila Campos Ramos, Caroline de Bortoli, Thiago Caldeira, Luiz Lopes, Raphael Alves, Hugo Tefili, Bethania Borges Tura, and Ana Luiza Detomi.
