Visiting Scholars

Visiting Scholars are individuals who come from another institution to DRC for a period of time. We are pleased to welcome visiting scholars and officials from around the world who may be interested in using our extensive specialized disaster library (presently consisting of some 70,000 titles), or who will want to pursue their own research or to work with our faculty and students on collaborative research projects. Visiting scholars can receive a University of Delaware ID card for access to the library, computers, internet, and parking. ​To apply for a visiting scholar position at the Disaster Research Center, please complete the form below.

Purpose of Visit to DRC

We ask for a short discussion of your research, so that we can be sure suitable faculty will be available for meeting or consultation.

Additional Requirements

As part of our application process, visiting scholars are required to provide DRC with a letter of recommendation, curriculum vitae, and participate in a Skype or telephone interview, unless otherwise instructed. An interview will be schedule upon review of this form.
