Risk Management Session – PM – Wednesday, January 11, 2017

Exhibit Hall Board Room

Farm Succession Planning
Succession planning may be one of the most involved pieces to begin and complete in a farm risk management plan.  In this session, participants will learn about the elements and steps involved in developing a succession plan. By engaging the “successor” in the process, the end result can be a transparent and fully disclosed succession plan.  Particular attention will focus on retirement planning, business mission statements, land leasing, insurance coverage and crop insurance.  A farm succession plan checklist will be distributed to all participants.
