Apple Computers

The University of Delaware has a purchasing agreement with Apple for academic pricing on most of their computer hardware and peripheral products.

The University strongly encourages using the UD Apple Authorized Campus Store (AACS) for institutional purchases of Apple products. For a number of popular items in less-than-volume quantities, the UD Apple Authorized Campus Store is likely to have products in stock. Dell Computers

The University of Delaware has a purchasing agreement with Dell for academic pricing on most of their computer hardware and peripheral products.

Software


The University of Delaware has signed an Adobe Term Site Licensing (TSL) agreement to allow Adobe Acrobat Professional to be installed on all University-owned computers at no additional charge to the department. For information and to download Adobe Acrobat Professional go to the UDeploy Software Site.

In addition, the University of Delaware has signed an Adobe Cumulative License Program (CLP) for Education Agreement to receive discounted pricing on nearly all other Adobe products for the institution.

Products are for institutional use only and may not be acquired by individuals. However, there is a provision for installing one copy of the product on either a home or portable computer. You may not run the the software simultaneously on both the home and work computers. Apple Software & PeripheralsThe University of Delaware has signed an Apple Educational License Program agreement to allow select Apple software titles to be installed on all University-owned computers at no additional charge to the department.

The current Apple agreement includes:

  • Licenses for the current version of  the Mac OS X operating system software (including “downgrade” rights to previous Mac OS X operating systems).
  • Licenses for the most current iLife and iWork multimedia and productivity suites.

The University of Delaware has signed a Microsoft Campus Agreement to allow select Microsoft software titles to be installed on all University-owned computers at no additional charge to the department.

The current Microsoft agreement includes:

  • An upgrade license for Windows 7 Enterprise (including “downgrade” rights to Windows Vista Enterprise and Windows XP Professional).
  • Licenses for Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 and Microsoft Office for Mac 2008.
  • Licenses for the Enterprise CAL Suite.

These Microsoft product licenses allow the software to be installed on all University-owned computers. However, there is a “work-at-home” provision for installation on personal machines for work-related purposes only.
