Research Summary

My work is focused on combining CuAAC and Methacrylate chemistries into interpenetrating polymer networks, or IPNs. IPNs are blends of covalently crosslinked polymer networks. Blended materials utilize the unique assets of its distinct constituents in order to provide solutions to problems with very particular demands. Currently, our objective is to characterize the control over CuAAC-Methacrylate IPN formation across a series of different monomer backbones. Targeted applications include restorative dental composites and ion conductive membranes.
