Classes

Gain a basic understanding of Chinese Culture with the Confucius Institute. We offer classes to all full-time UD faculty, professionals, staff and their spouses and non-credit classes to UD students (graduate and undergraduate). Children are not eligible to participate in this program.

Class size is limited to 20 people; registration will take place on a first-come, first-served basis. The Confucius Institute reserves the right to cancel any classes due to student shortage.

Chinese language classes (Practical Level 1, 2, 3), Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy, and Taiji classes are open to UD faculty/staff/spouse. Chinese Martial Arts and Folk Dance classes are non-credit classes open to all faculty/staff/alumni and students and offered based on instructor availability.

  • Chinese Level 1 for faculty/staff
    Mondays
     from February 16 to May 11 for 12 weeks.
    (Class does not meet on March 30 due to spring break)
    Time:  5:15- 6:30 PM

  • Chinese Level 2 for faculty/staff
    Tuesdays
     from February 17 to May 12 for 12 weeks.
    (Class does not meet on March 31 due to spring break)
