About our guest

Jennifer Ewald is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that comes to UD Student Wellness and Health Promotion by way of Child, Inc. to provide Intimate Partner/Dating Violence services on campus. As a recipient of The United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Office on Violence against Women (OVW) Campus Grant Program, the University of Delaware has partnered with Child, Inc., a community domestic violence agency, to assist in the reduction domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking on college campuses.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delaware in Psychology and Women’s Studies and her dual Master Degrees in Social Work and Human Sexuality Education from Widener University. She specializes in healthy relationships and intimate partner violence and is providing individual counseling and psycho-educational groups around these issues on campus. Counseling and Healthy Relationships group discussions include: self-esteem, dating expectations, communication, values and rights, boundaries, violence, sex and sexuality, conflict resolution and healthy break-up skills.

Prior to moving into this role at the University of Delaware, Jennifer was the Project P.R.I.D.E. (Promoting Respect In Dating Experiences) counselor at Child, Inc. Project P.R.I.D.E. was also a grant-funded program focusing on dating violence education and counseling that targeted adolescents ages 12 – 22. Jennifer is excited about this role and working with the college-aged population in regards to Intimate Partner Violence, a topic about which she is very passionate.
