Studio B is a multipurpose lecture facility equipped with 48 individual computer stations, and the front row is handicapped accessible. The studio is also equipped with one forward facing camera and one student camera.
The instructor console features a Dell Optiplex 790 computer running Windows 10. Instructors can also elect to bring in their own Windows or Macintosh laptop, or use the installed document camera for capturing spontaneous handwritten notes. Images from these devices will be projected on the large screen at the front of the room.
The student area features 48 Dell Optiplex 790 desktop computers with Internet access on eight rows of tiered tables. In this setting, if requested, students and participants can be on camera, and their questions can be heard thanks to the three installed ceiling microphones.
Studio B is available for use as a video conference facility to connect with one or more remote sites anywhere in the world using standards based protocols over IP (H.323) for connectivity through a Polycom VSX-8000 codec. It also features Zoom and Skype desktop conferencing capabilities.
