All three project teams had a great time at the regional conference in Philadelphia held by Drexel University. On Saturday, despite the rain the bridge team and concrete canoe set up their displays outside. The GeoWall team had their poster reviewed by judges and had their competition on Saturday, and did a great job! On Sunday of the conference, the steel bridge team raced to build their bridge and only had minor penalties, and then later load tested their bridge, which passed. The steel bridge team came in 5th out of 11 teams that competed. The concrete canoe passed the submersion test and then was raced in both the endurance, sprint, and coed races. The canoe was one of few that did not get any major cracks or holes throughout the races. Check out some of the pictures of the competition teams below.
