AAPIC members recognized for their service to UD: Jinfa Cai, Erlinda Wheeler, and Pia Inguito – 15-16 years Jeannie Taylor and Wendy Wen – 5 years Asian-American Pacific Islander Caucus (AAPIC) Also, the AAPIC Holiday Party is scheduled for Saturday, Dec 3. Details to follow at a later date. AAPIC celebrated Dr. Bobby Gempesaw, Dean of the Lerner College of Business and Economics, and the Lunar New Year on February 10 at Padi Restaurant in Hockessin, Delaware. Dr. Gempesaw will be leaving UD to assume the position of Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at Miami University of Ohio. He will be sorely missed at UD, especially by AAPIC to whom he’s been an important and active advisor for many years. Congratulations, Bobby! We will miss you and Clavel! We are the Asian American Pacific Islander Caucus (AAPIC) at the University of Delaware. Our mission: to contribute toward a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity among the student body, faculty, and staff and to help create an environment for its members to reach their fullest potential. |
