Rachel Kennel

Bio: Rachel is from Newark, Delaware, and is a junior Chemical Engineering student at the University of Delaware, with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. She joined the April Kloxin Group in February 2013, working on degradable hydrogels.

Research Interests: Rachel is currently working on controlling drug release from hydrogels by degrading gels by multiple mechanisms. This scheme of multimode degradation allows for spatiotemporal control of drug release from the gel.

Fun Facts: Rachel likes to garden, and tends to read copious amounts of books.
