Announcing our new online application!

The ELI is launching a new online application form to simplify its admissions process.

The University of Delaware ELI is delighted to announce the launch of a new and improved online application form for potential ELI students, overseas partners, and sponsors. The new application will simplify–and speed up!–the admissions process for all applicants. It will be available on Monday, October 17th.

The ELI is launching a new online application form.

The ELI’s new application form will look similar in many ways to the current applications to which our agents and sponsors have become accustomed; however, it is backed by a powerful new student records system which facilitates admissions operations and secures admissions data. This results in a streamlined admissions process and an application that is faster and easier to complete.

Special features of the new application

One application form for (almost) all programs

Nearly all of the ELI’s programs are now included in one application form (instead of having separate forms for each program). This makes the admissions process easier for applicants and agents. It also helps the ELI to ensure the accuracy of all admissions-related communications across all programs.

Upload documents through the application form

Applicants will no longer need to submit their supporting documents (e.g., passports, bank statements, etc.) via email or fax. Instead, they can upload the documents directly to their application and submit everything together in one step.

Improved data collection

While applicants will not notice the difference in how their data is collected with this form, they will notice the result–a faster and smoother application process. This is because the data collected in the new application form will be automatically created in the format that is easiest for our computer systems to process. Easier data collection results in an easier admissions process!

Better communications

The new system allows us to quickly and securely share information with the appropriate people on campus (e.g., admissions counselors, immigration advisors, etc.). This means that communications between departments and messages to the applicant or his/her agent will happen faster.

In addition, applicants and agents will receive automatic messages to remind them of any missing documentation or problem that may be slowing down their admissions process. This will make it easier for applicants to know the status of their application more quickly
