Leadership Development

UD’s NSF ADVANCE IT grant emphasizes the importance of promoting women faculty into leadership positions. We provide regular opportunities for faculty to learn more about academic leadership and develop the skills needed to access these positions.

Upcoming Leadership-Development Opportunities

  • Friday, June 2: “Writing Your Next Chapter.” We are partnering with the UD Faculty Achievement Program, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Vice Provost for Diversity to bring a nationally-celebrated faculty development workshop aimed at mid-career faculty to campus in June. Mindi Thompson, one of the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity’s Certified Workshop Leaders and the Head Coach for the NCFDD coaching team, will deliver “Writing Your Next Chapter” from 9-12 a.m. on Friday 02 June. This workshop is specifically aimed at mid-career faculty, but registration is open to all interested UD Faculty. Faculty will also have the opportunity to participate in a 1.5 hour summer planning workshop. Space is limited, and a continental breakfast and lunch will be served. Register here.
