UD ADVANCE revolves around the ongoing development of key messages, facts, figures and best practices—known as “talking points”—that we will research and communicate regularly to the University community. Talking points will be delivered through a variety of means, such as meetings with faculty and administrators, UDaily articles and other online platforms. Examples of talking points include best practices for mentoring faculty of color, leadership development for mid-career faculty, and fair evaluation of faculty job applications or tenure and promotion dossiers. Talking points will encourage communication between faculty and administration, reinforce programmatic messages and enhance diversity conversations on campus.
